Join us on September 10th for our Lunch and Learn – Philanthropy in Waukesha County: A Tradition of Support

Join Melissa Baxter, President of the Waukesha County Community Foundation, to explore philanthropic highlights from Waukesha County’s history. From early settlers ot today, gifts of time, talent, and treasure have been a steadfast part of our communities. Baxter will also share information about the Foundation and its role over the past quarter century. All attendees will receive a copy of the 25-year history of the foundation, written by Malcolm McDowell Woods.

Bio: Melissa Baxter is President of the Waukesha County Community Foundation and a resident of Waukesha County since 2002. Prior to her work at the Foundation, she served in development roles at the Greater Milwaukee Committee and Carroll University. In her early days in Waukesha, she worked as a freelance writer and wrote a weekly column for The Freeman called “Everyone has a story.” She earned a BA in English and history from Hanover College in Indiana and a M.Ed. from Carroll University. She and her husband, Mike, raised their three sons in Waukesha County.
