Looking for a new companion? Do you just love animals? Check out the Center for Animal Rehabilitation & Education (CARE)! This rescue focuses on pet birds by finding forever homes for those that need them, as well as rehabilitating and acting as a sanctuary for animals that can’t be adopted out. They also offer grooming, boarding, and behavior counseling and sell all the supplies you need for your best friends. Plus, they help foster senior dogs and also take in small mammals!

CARE is always looking for volunteers, or you can just come visit. Their shop and aviary allow visitors, and while visitors can’t pet or touch the birds, the residents are very personable (and chatty!)
